This Privacy Policy describes how ActorSnap (the "App"), developed by Biterk ("we", "us"), handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Information We Collect

• Device identifier — When you first use the App, a random unique identifier (UUID) is generated on your device and registered anonymously with our server. No name, email, phone number, or account is required.
• Face images — When you use the recognition feature, the captured image is sent to our server for processing. The image is analyzed in memory to identify actors and is immediately discarded after processing. We do not store, save, or retain any images.
• Authentication token — A secure token is stored locally in your device's iOS Keychain. It is never transmitted in plain text.
• Server logs — Our servers may record IP addresses and request timestamps as part of standard operations. These logs are not correlated to your identity.

Information We Do Not Collect

• No personal identification (name, email, phone number)
• No location data
• No contacts or address book
• No browsing history
• No cookies, analytics, or tracking of any kind
• No third-party analytics SDKs

How We Use Information

• Device identifier — Used solely for rate limiting (200 requests per day, 10 per minute) and abuse prevention.
• Face images — Used solely for real-time actor recognition. Never stored, never used for training, never shared.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third party. We do not use advertising partners or analytics services.

Data Retention

• Face images — Zero retention. Images are processed in memory and discarded within seconds.
• Device identifier — Retained as long as your device is registered. You may request deletion at any time.
• Server logs — Automatically rotated and deleted within 30 days.

Security

• All communications between the App and our servers use HTTPS (TLS encryption).
• Authentication tokens are hashed with SHA-256 on the server side.
• Our infrastructure is protected by Cloudflare (DDoS protection, Web Application Firewall).

Camera Usage

The App uses your device's camera and Apple's ARKit/Vision frameworks for face detection. Face detection happens locally on your device. Only the captured image is sent to our server for actor recognition. The camera feed is never recorded or stored.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL and the effective date will be updated accordingly. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
